Our Commitment to You

At Bond, your privacy is a top priority. Your privacy is at the core of the way we design and build the services and products you know and love, so that you can fully trust them and focus on building meaningful connections.

We appreciate that you put your trust in us when you provide us with your information, and we don’t take this lightly.

Our commitment to privacy

We design all of our products and services with your privacy in mind. We involve experts from various fields, including legal, security, engineering, product design and others to make sure that our decisions are taken with the utmost respect for your privacy.

Our commitment to transparency

Because we use many of the same online services you do, we know that insufficient information and overly complicated language are common issues in privacy policies. We take the exact opposite approach: we’re doing our best to write our Privacy Policy and related documents in plain language. We actually want you to read our policies and understand our privacy practices!

Our commitment to security

We have teams dedicated to keeping your data safe and secure. We constantly update our security practices and invest in our security efforts to enhance the safety of your information.

Welcome to bond’s Privacy Policy. Thank you for taking the time to read it.

We appreciate that you trust us with your information, and we intend to always keep that trust. This starts with making sure you understand the information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and your choices regarding your information. This Policy describes our privacy practices in plain language, keeping legal and technical jargon to a minimum.

This Privacy Policy applies from 1 November 2026.

1. Who we are

Bond is a digital platform operated and provided by Elaqa for Design Services LLC, a company established in the United Arab Emirates (the “Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”).

Bond includes the Bond Digital Platform, the Bond website, mobile software, digital interfaces and related services, features and experiences (collectively, the “Service”).

The Company is the data controller responsible for the personal information processed by the Company in connection with the Service, except where applicable law requires a different allocation of responsibilities.

Throughout this Privacy Policy, “Bond” refers to the Bond brand and “Company”, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to the Company when acting in connection with the operation and provision of the Service.

Our Service enables you to discover venues, interact with other members, participate in events and experiences, access promotional benefits and, where applicable, share certain location-related information with other members of the Bond community (the “Bonders”).

Bond is a global service. Depending on where you reside or use the Service, additional privacy rights, disclosures, representatives or other requirements may apply under mandatory local law.

Where appropriate, these requirements are addressed in a regional or jurisdiction-specific privacy notice.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit rights that cannot lawfully be limited under the laws applicable to you.

2. Where this Privacy Policy applies

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed in connection with the Bond Digital Platform and related Service, wherever you access or use the Service, except where a separate privacy notice expressly applies to a particular Bond service, feature, event or jurisdiction.

Bond is intended for users and customers in multiple countries and regions. Privacy and data protection requirements vary between jurisdictions.

This Privacy Policy establishes Bond’s global privacy framework. Where mandatory local law provides additional or different requirements, those requirements apply to the extent required by that law.

Where appropriate, the Company may publish a regional privacy addendum or jurisdiction-specific privacy notice addressing additional rights, representatives, consent requirements, international transfer requirements, retention periods or other obligations applicable in a particular jurisdiction.

Where a specific Bond service is subject to its own privacy notice, that notice will apply to the relevant service to the extent stated in that notice.

3. Information we collect

It goes without saying that we can’t help you access venues matching your mood of the moment or develop meaningful connections without some information about you, such as basic profile details, the types of venues you’d like to visit or the types of people you’d like to meet. We also collect information about your use of our services such as access logs, as well as information from third parties, like when you access our services through your social media account or when you upload information from your social media account to complete your profile. If you want additional info, we go into more detail below.

Information you give us

You choose to give us certain information when using our services. This includes the followings:

Registration and Profile Information

When you create an account, you provide us with at least your name, phone number and email address, as well as some basic details necessary for the service to work, such as your gender and date of birth.

In case you own or manage a venue, you provide us with your venue information such as the location and phone number.

When you complete your profile, you can share additional information with us, such as details on your bio, interests and other details about you, as well as content such as photos and videos. To add certain content, like pictures or videos, you may allow us to access your camera or photo album.

When you subscribe to a paid service or make a purchase directly from us (rather than through a platform such as iOS or Android), you provide us or our payment service provider with information, such as your debit or credit card number or other financial information.

When you check-in at a particular location, you share with us your geolocation.

When you participate in surveys, focus groups or market studies, you give us your insights into our products and services, responses to our questions and testimonials.

When you choose to participate in our promotions, events or contests, we collect the information that you use to register or enter.

Special Offers

When you claim or redeem a Special Offer through the Bond Digital Platform, the Company may collect and process information relating to the Claim or Redemption, including the Special Offer concerned, the date and time of the Claim or Redemption, the status of the Redemption Code, the Partner Venue at which the Special Offer is intended to be redeemed and information reasonably necessary to administer, validate, prevent fraud relating to and measure the performance of the Special Offer.

Where applicable, the Company may provide a participating Partner Venue with limited information reasonably necessary to validate the Redemption Code and fulfil the relevant Special Offer.

Bondwards

Where you participate in the Bondwards Loyalty Program, the Company may collect and process information relating to your participation, including the activities that qualify for Bondwards, the points credited to your account, your balance, the rewards you claim, the redemptions you make and the expiry of unused points.

This information is processed to operate the Program, to verify that an activity genuinely qualifies, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to provide you with your balance and history. Further information is set out in the Bondwards Loyalty Program Terms & Conditions.

If you contact our customer care team or correspond with us by phone, SMS, e-mail or otherwise, we collect the information you give us during the interaction.

If you share with us information about other people (for example, if you use contact details of a friend for a given feature), we process this information on your behalf, in order to complete your request.

Messages and User Content

Of course, we also process your chats with other members, as well as the content you publish, as necessary for the operation of the services. We may also retain any messages you send to us.

We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service and to communicate directly with you, such as to send you notifications about our promotions with our partners in your area, etc.

Information we receive from others

In addition to the information you may provide us directly, we receive information about you from others, including:

Members

Bond users may provide information about you as they use our services, for instance as they interact with you or if they submit a report involving you.

Social Media

You may decide to share information with us through your social media account, for instance if you decide to create and log into your Bond account via your social media or other account (e.g., Facebook, Google or Apple) or to upload onto our services information such as photos from one of your social media accounts (e.g., Instagram).

When you interact with our site through various social media, such as when you Like us on Facebook or post a comment to our Facebook page, we may receive information from the social network such as your profile information, profile picture, gender, user name, user ID associated with your social media account, age range, language, country, friends list, and any other information you permit the social network to share with third parties.

The data we receive is dependent upon your privacy settings with the social network. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to Bond’s website or Service.

Identity verification

Where the Company uses an identity or age-verification service provided by a third-party provider, the Company may require information necessary to verify your age or identity.

This may include information contained in a government-issued identity document, a photograph or selfie, date of birth or the outcome of the verification process.

The third-party provider may use automated technologies, including facial comparison or biometric technologies, where permitted by applicable law, to perform the verification.

The Company will not receive or retain biometric information where the applicable verification service is designed to keep such biometric information with the verification provider.

The Company may receive information extracted from the identity document and the result of the verification process where reasonably necessary to provide the verification feature, protect against fraud or comply with applicable law.

The specific data processed, retention period and availability of identity or age verification may vary depending on the jurisdiction and the verification service used.

Where required by applicable law, additional notice, consent or safeguards will be provided.

Other partners

We may receive information about you from our partners where Bond ads are published on a partner’s service (in which case they may pass along details on a campaign’s success).

Where legally allowed, we can also receive information about suspected or convicted bad actors from third parties as part of our efforts to ensure our members’ safety and security.

Information collected when you use our services

When you use our services, this generates technical data about what features you’ve used, how you’ve used them and the devices you use to access our services. See below for more details:

Usage Information

Using the services generates data about your activity on our services, for instance how you use them (e.g., when you logged in, features you’ve been using, actions taken, information shown to you, referring webpages address and ads that you interacted with) and your interactions with venues or other members (e.g., members you connect and interact with, when you exchanged with them, number of messages you send and receive).

Device information

We collect information from and about the device(s) you use to access our services, including hardware and software information such as IP address, device ID and type, apps settings and characteristics, app crashes, advertising IDs (which are randomly generated numbers that you can reset by going into your device’ settings), identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify a device or browser.

Other information with your consent

If you give us permission, we can collect your precise device’s geolocation. The collection of your device’s geolocation may occur in the background even when you aren’t using the services if the permission you gave us expressly permits such collection.

If you decline permission for us to collect your precise geolocation, we will not collect it, however this may affect your experience with our service as you will not be able to access some of the key features.

If you give us permission, your device’s location information is processed via your IP address, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS coordinates (e.g., latitude/longitude) available through your mobile device.

We may also gather information about your device’s location using other technologies and sensors which may provide us with information about nearby devices, WiFi access points and networks, and nearby cell towers.

If you enable the mobile app to use your Bluetooth signal, we may be able to determine location based on nearby Bluetooth-enabled devices, which helps us to improve location accuracy, identify suitable Venues, other Bond users, devices that have been in proximity to each other, and improve location updates for all devices in the Bond network.

Depending on your device settings, location information is processed in the background, even when you are not actively using the app.

We naturally process and maintain location data to provide you the features and functionality of the Service. We may also share location information with our partners, for tailored advertising, attribution, analytics, research and other purposes, as described in Section 6. If you want to opt-out of the collection of your location data, please adjust your settings in your mobile device to limit the app’s access to your location data. Please see Section 9 to learn more.

Similarly, if you consent, we may collect photos and videos (for instance, if you want to publish a photo or video or participate in streaming features on our services).

4. Cookies and other similar data collection technologies

We use and may allow others to use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixels, SDKs) to recognise you and/or your device(s).

You may read our Cookie Policy for more information on why we use them and how you can better control their use.

Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome) have a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) feature that tells a website that a user does not want to have his or her online activity tracked.

If a website that responds to a DNT signal receives a DNT signal, the browser can block that website from collecting certain information about the browser’s user.

Not all browsers offer a DNT option and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For this reason, many businesses, including Bond, do not currently respond to DNT signals.

If you want additional info, we go into more detail below.

When you visit our website, use our mobile app, read our emails or otherwise engage with us, we and our business partners may automatically collect certain information about your computer or device through a variety of tracking technologies, including cookies, web beacons, log files, embedded scripts, location-identifying technologies, or other tracking/recording tools (collectively, “tracking technologies”), and we may combine this information with other personal information we collect about you. We use these tracking technologies to collect usage and device information, such as:

  • Information about how you access the Service, for example, referral/exit pages, how frequently you access the Service, whether you open emails or click the links contained in emails, whether you access the Service from multiple devices, and other actions you take on the Service.

  • Information about how you use the Service, for example, the features you use, the links you click, the ads you view and click on, purchase transaction information, your location when you access or interact with our Service, and other similar actions.

  • Information about the computer, tablet, smartphone or other device you use, such as your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, platform type, device type/ model/ manufacturer, operating system, phone number, mobile carrier, date and time stamp, a unique ID that allows us to uniquely identify your browser, mobile device or your account (including, for example, a UDID, IDFA, Google Ad ID, Windows Advertising ID or other persistent device identifier or Ad ID), battery life, and other such information. With your permission, we may also access your photo or camera roll.

We may collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service and to understand more about the demographics of our users. You can learn more about Google’s practice  at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners, and view its currently available opt-out options at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We use this information to (i) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Service; (ii) provide custom, personalized content and information, including targeted content and advertising; (iii) track your location and movements; (iv) identify and contact you across multiple devices; (v) provide and monitor the effectiveness of our Service and our marketing campaigns; (vi) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, users, traffic, and demographic patterns; (vii) diagnose or fix technology problems reported by our Users or engineers that are associated with certain IP addresses or User IDs; and (viii) detect or prevent fraud or other harmful activities; (xi) automatically update our mobile application on your system and related devices; and (x) otherwise plan for and enhance our Service.

If you prefer not to accept cookies, most browsers will allow you to:

  1. change your browser settings to notify you when you receive a cookie, which lets you choose whether or not to accept it;

  2. disable existing cookies; or

  3. set your browser to automatically reject cookies.

  4. Please note that doing so may negatively impact your experience using the Service, as some features and services on our Service may not work properly.

  5. Depending on your mobile device and operating system, you may not be able to delete or block all cookies.

  6. These browser settings that block cookies may have no effect on non-cookie technologies.

  7. You may also set your e-mail options to prevent the automatic downloading of images that may contain technologies that would allow us to know whether you have accessed our e-mail and performed certain functions with it.

  8. As mentioned earlier, not all browsers offer a DNT option and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For this reason, many businesses, including Bond, do not currently respond to DNT signals.

We and our third party partners may also use information collected through tracking technologies for advertising purposes. Please see Section 9 to learn more.

To process personal information as described in this Privacy Policy, the Company relies on one or more legal bases depending on the jurisdiction in which you are located and the circumstances of the processing.

Performance of a contract

The Company may process your information where necessary to provide the Service, operate your account, provide features you have requested, complete transactions, provide customer support, administer Special Offers or otherwise perform contractual obligations to you.

Legitimate interests

The Company may process your information where necessary for legitimate interests pursued by the Company or relevant third parties, provided that those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

These interests may include operating and securing the Service, preventing fraud and abuse, improving and developing the Bond Digital Platform, measuring campaigns, protecting members, enforcing agreements and managing the Company’s business.

Where required by applicable law, the Company will assess and balance its legitimate interests against the potential impact on your rights.

Consent

Where applicable law requires consent, the Company will seek your consent before processing personal information for the relevant purpose.

This may include certain uses of precise location information, certain marketing activities, certain tracking technologies, certain processing of sensitive or special-category information, or other processing for which consent is legally required.

Where consent is the applicable legal basis, you may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to applicable law.

Legal obligations

The Company may process personal information where necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, accounting or tax requirements, regulatory obligations, court orders or lawful governmental requests.

Protection of vital interests

Where permitted by applicable law, the Company may process information where necessary to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another individual.

The legal basis applicable to a particular processing activity may differ depending on your location and the requirements of local law.

6. How we share information

Since our goal is to help you make meaningful connections, the main sharing of members’ information is, of course, with other members.

We also share some members’ information with service providers and partners who assist us in operating the services, and, in some cases, with legal authorities. Read on for more details about how your information is shared with others.

With other members

You share information with other members when you voluntarily disclose information on the service (including your public profile). Please be careful with your information, and make sure that the content you share are things you’re comfortable with being visible.

If you choose to limit the audience for all or part of your profile, or for certain content or information about you, then it will be visible according to your settings.

If someone submits a report involving you (such as a claim you violated our Terms of Use), we may communicate to the reporter actions, if any, we took as a result of their report.

With our service providers and partners

The Company uses third parties to help operate, secure, maintain and improve the Bond Digital Platform and the Service.

These third parties may assist with hosting, infrastructure, analytics, customer support, communications, marketing, advertising, payment processing, fraud prevention, security and other operational functions.

The Company may also share limited personal information with participating Partner Venues where reasonably necessary to provide a feature or service that you have chosen to use.

For example, when you claim or redeem a Special Offer, a Partner Venue may receive information reasonably necessary to validate the Redemption Code and fulfil the applicable Special Offer.

Where you accept an invitation to an event guest list, your first name and initial and a guest list reference appear on the guest list of the person who invited you, and your arrival at the event is confirmed to them and to the Partner Venue hosting the event. Joining a guest list is a deliberate step towards the person who invited you, and it is how your place at the event is held for you.

This applies even where you have limited the visibility of your profile. Limiting your visibility does not hide your arrival from the person who invited you, because that invitation is the reason the arrival is held and counted.

It does not make you visible to anyone else. You do not appear in the Partner Venue’s public presence, other members do not see that you are on a guest list, and your family name is not provided to the Partner Venue or to the person who invited you for guest list purposes. Further information is set out in the Bond Promoter Terms & Conditions.

Partner Venues remain responsible for their own products and services and for personal information they independently process for their own purposes.

Where applicable law requires a specific contractual arrangement, notice, consent or other safeguard for sharing personal information with a service provider, partner or Partner Venue, the Company will implement the applicable requirement.

The Company applies appropriate contractual and operational controls to service providers and partners that process personal information on its behalf.

Sharing functionality

You may share other members’ profiles, and they may share yours, with people outside of our services, using the sharing functionality.

For corporate transactions

We may transfer your information if we are involved, whether in whole or in part, in a merger, sale, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, reorganisation, dissolution, bankruptcy or other change of ownership or control.

With law enforcement/when required by law

We may disclose your information if reasonably necessary:

  1. to comply with a legal process, such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, government/law enforcement investigation or other legal requirements;

  2. to assist in the prevention or detection of crime (subject in each case to applicable law); or

  3. to protect the safety of any person.

To enforce legal rights

We may also share information:

  1. if disclosure would mitigate our liability in an actual or threatened lawsuit;

  2. as necessary to protect our legal rights and the legal rights of our members, business partners or other interested parties;

  3. to enforce our agreements with you; and

  4. to investigate, prevent or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud or other wrongdoing.

With your consent or at your request

We may ask for your consent to share your information with third parties.

In any such case, we will make it clear why we want to share the information.

The Company may use and share information that is genuinely anonymous or aggregated where permitted by applicable law.

The Company may also use or share pseudonymised, encrypted, hashed or otherwise transformed information. Such information may still constitute personal information or personal data under applicable law.

Where the Company works with advertising, attribution, analytics or measurement partners, the Company will apply the privacy, consent, opt-out, contractual and other safeguards required by the applicable jurisdiction.

The Company will not describe pseudonymised or hashed information as anonymous unless it has been rendered anonymous in accordance with applicable law.

More information on cookies and similar technologies is provided in Section 4 of this Privacy Policy and in the Bond Cookie Policy.

More information on our use of cookies and similar technologies can be found in Section 4 Cookies and Other Similar Data Collection Technologies.

The Company operates the Bond Digital Platform from the United Arab Emirates and may use technology, infrastructure, service providers and partners located in other jurisdictions.

Your personal information may therefore be stored in or accessed from countries other than the country in which you reside.

Where an international transfer or access is subject to specific data protection requirements, the Company will use an appropriate legal transfer mechanism and applicable safeguards.

7. How we protect information

Bond cares about the security of your information and uses commercially reasonable physical, administrative, and technological safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information we collect and that we share with our service providers.

However, no security system is impenetrable and we cannot guarantee the security of our systems 100%.

In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

8. Cross-border data transfers

The Company operates a global digital service and may use service providers, partners and infrastructure located in jurisdictions other than the jurisdiction in which you reside.

Your personal information may therefore be transferred to, stored in or accessed from other countries.

Where a transfer is subject to applicable data protection law, the Company will use an appropriate legally recognised transfer mechanism and implement appropriate safeguards.

Depending on the circumstances and jurisdiction, these mechanisms may include:

  • an adequacy decision or equivalent recognised mechanism
  • standard contractual clauses
  • an applicable international data transfer agreement or addendum
  • an applicable recognised certification mechanism
  • appropriate contractual, technical or organisational safeguards
  • another transfer mechanism permitted by applicable law

For transfers from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another jurisdiction with specific international-transfer requirements, the Company will apply the transfer mechanism required by the relevant law.

Where required, the Company will assess the circumstances of the transfer and implement supplementary measures appropriate to the risks involved.

You may contact the Company using the privacy contact information provided in this Privacy Policy to request additional information about the safeguards applicable to a particular international transfer.

9. Your rights

We want you to be in control of your information, so we want to remind you of the following options and tools available to you:

Access/update tools in the service

Tools and account settings can help you access, rectify or remove information that you provided to us and that’s associated with your account directly within the service. If you have any question on those tools and settings, please contact us here.

Device permissions

Mobile platforms can have permission systems for specific types of device data and notifications, such as phone contacts, pictures, location services, push notifications and advertising identifiers.

You can change your settings on your device to either consent or oppose the collection or processing of the corresponding information or the display of the corresponding notifications. Of course, if you do that, certain services may lose functionality.

Uninstall

You can stop all information collection by an app by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process for your device. Remember that uninstalling an app does NOT close your account. To close your account, please use the corresponding functionality on the service.

Account closure

You can close your account by using the corresponding functionality directly on the service.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as reasonably necessary to maintain the Service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and for the other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

If you wish to close your account, and/or request to delete your personal information, please contact us here.

When account information is deleted or de-identified, certain residual information may remain within our archive records, such as for customer and technical support, billing and tax purposes.

Emails and Notifications

You can control your receipt of email and text alerts by visiting “Settings” within the mobile app.

You can also stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link provided in such communications.

You may not opt-out of Service-related emails (e.g., account verification, order confirmations, change or updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices).

You may also unsubscribe from receiving SMS text messages by using the corresponding functionality directly on the service.

We make every effort to promptly process all unsubscribe requests.

Location and Movement Data Collection and Sharing

As described in Section 3, we collect precise location data from your device to provide you with Bond Services, and may share your personal information, including location and movement data, with other Bond users, and with third parties for research, analytics, attribution and tailored advertising purposes. You have many options to control this data collection and sharing activity through the App Settings:

Limit location sharing with some Bond users

You may temporarily turn location sharing “OFF” with Bond users through your App settings.

If you turn off location sharing for one or more Bond users, we will not share your location with such Bond users; however, we will continue to collect your location information in order to provide the Service (for example, to provide our venue’s dashboard services, to share your location with the other Bond users, or to provide location-based advertising).

Limit data sharing with third party data partners through in-App Privacy Settings

To opt-out of Bond sharing personal information (including location and movement data) with data partners for targeted advertising, research, attribution and similar purposes, you can opt-out through the Do Not Sell My Personal Information page in the in-App Privacy & Security settings.

If you opt-out, Bond will continue to collect your device location and movement data and to share such data with other Bond users and with third parties as needed to support and provide the Bond services or other services you engage, but we will no longer share data about you with our third party data partners for their own advertising and other commercial purposes. Please note, some third party data partners may continue to send you location-based ads based on your previous location or may approximate your location based on other data.

Disconnect Location Data and Movement Data in Device Settings

You may also be able to turn off device location data collection through your mobile device settings.

For example, depending on your mobile device, you may be able to “Turn location services ‘off,’ which restricts access to your device location data. You can also adjust your device settings to withdraw permission for the Bond app to access device location data and/or motion data (depending on the device type, this may be called “Fitness and Motion” data), and you can also adjust your device settings to limit the app’s access to WiFi and Bluetooth information.

Please note that your Bond App may not be able to provide all of our Services to you if you disable access to location and movement data through your device settings.

Third Party Tracking and Online Advertising

We may share information about your use of our Services over time, including location information, with third party ad networks, social media companies and other third parties so that they may play or display ads that may be relevant to your interests on our Service as well as on other websites, apps or services, or on other devices or advertising channels.

We may also display targeted advertising to you through social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and others.

These third party ad partners collect and use information such as click stream information, timestamp, hashed email address, device ID or AdID, your use of third party applications and/or precise geolocation data and other information, and may combine this information with information they collect directly through tracking technologies or that they receive other partners, both online and offline, so that they may recognize you across other browsers or devices you use, including computers, mobile devices and Smart TVs.

These third parties use this information to make the advertisements you see online more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics, and market research.

To opt-out or control third-party tracking and advertising: Interest-based advertising

To learn about interest-based advertising and how you may be able to opt-out of the use of your personal information to inform and display targeted advertising, you may wish to visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s online resources, at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices, and/or the DAA’s resources at aboutads.info/choices. You may also manage certain advertising cookies by visiting the EU-based Your Online Choices at www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Mobile advertising

You may also be able to limit interest-based advertising through the settings on your mobile device by selecting “limit ad tracking” (iOS) or “opt-out of interest based ads” (Android).

You may also be able to opt-out of some – but not all – interest-based ads served by mobile ad networks by visiting http://youradchoices.com/appchoices and downloading the mobile AppChoices app.

Cross-device linking

Please note that opting-out of receiving interest-based advertising through the NAI’s and DAA’s online resources will only opt-out a user from receiving interest-based ads on that specific browser or device, but the user may still receive interest-based ads on his or her other devices. You must perform the opt-out on each browser or device you use.

Some of these opt-outs may not be effective unless your browser is set to accept cookies. If you delete cookies, change your browser settings, switch browsers or computers, or use another operating system, you will need to opt-out again.

Google Analytics and Advertising

We may also utilize certain forms of display advertising and other advanced features through Google Analytics, such as Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integration, and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting.

These features enable us to use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the Doubleclick advertising cookie) or other third party cookies together to inform, optimize, and display ads based on your past visits to the Service. You may control your advertising preferences or opt-out of certain Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager, currently available at https://google.com/ads/preferences or by visiting NAI’s online resources at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices.

To opt-out of Bond sharing data with third parties for advertising purposes

To opt-out of Bond sharing personal information (including location and movement data) with data partners for their own targeted advertising, research, attribution and similar purposes, you can opt-out through the Do Not Sell My Personal Information page in the in-App Privacy & Security settings. Please note, some third party data partners may continue to send you personalized or location-based ads based on your previous location or data they have collected from other websites and mobile apps.

We also want you to be aware of your privacy rights. Here are a few key points to remember:

Reviewing your information

Applicable privacy laws may give you the right to review the personal information we keep about you (depending on the jurisdiction, this may be called right of access, right of portability, right to know or variations of those terms). You can exercise this right by putting in such a request through the application or here.

Updating your information

If you believe that the information we hold about you is inaccurate or that we are no longer entitled to use it and want to request its rectification, deletion, object to or restrict its processing, please contact us through the application or here.

For your protection and the protection of all of our members, we may ask you to provide proof of identity before we can answer the above requests.

Keep in mind, we may reject requests, including if we are unable to authenticate you, if the request is unlawful or invalid, or if it may infringe on trade secrets or intellectual property, or the privacy or other rights of someone else. If you wish to receive information relating to another member, such as a copy of any messages you’ve received from them through our service, the other member will have to contact us to provide their written consent before the information is released. We may also ask them to provide proof of identity before we can answer the request.

We may also not be able to accommodate certain requests to object to or restrict the processing of personal information, notably where such requests would not allow us to provide our service to you anymore. For instance, we cannot provide our service if we do not have your date of birth and, thus, cannot ensure that you are 18 years of age or older.

In certain countries, including in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how we process your personal information. You can find information about your data protection regulator in the European Economic Area by visiting https://www.edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/our-members_en, and in the United Kingdom by visiting https://ico.org.uk/.

The data protection authority you can lodge a complaint with may be that of your habitual residence, where you work or where an alleged infringement took place.

Regional and jurisdiction-specific rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights relating to your personal information, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, objection to direct marketing, opt-out of certain sale, sharing or targeted advertising activities, rights relating to sensitive personal information and rights relating to certain automated decision-making or profiling.

The availability, scope and conditions of these rights vary by jurisdiction.

Where a regional privacy addendum or other jurisdiction-specific notice applies to you, that notice will provide additional information on the rights available to you and how you may exercise them.

The Company will not seek to exclude or limit privacy rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited in your jurisdiction.

10. How long we retain your information for

We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes (as laid out in Section 5) and as permitted by applicable law.

If you decide to stop using our services, you can close your account and your profile will stop being visible to other members.

Note that we will close your account automatically if you are inactive for a period of two years.

After your account is closed, we will delete your personal information, as laid out below:

To protect the safety and security of our members, we implement a safety retention window of three months following account closure, or one year following an account ban.

During this period, we keep your information in the event that it might be necessary to investigate unlawful or harmful conducts. The retention of information during this safety retention window is based on our legitimate interest, as well as that of potential third-party victims.

Once the applicable safety retention window has elapsed, the Company will delete or anonymise personal information when it is no longer required, except where limited information must be retained for a specific lawful purpose.

The Company may retain limited information for as long as reasonably necessary:

  • to comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory or other statutory retention requirements

  • to establish, exercise or defend legal claims

  • to prevent fraud, abuse or repeated violations of the Bond Terms of Use

  • to protect the safety and security of Bonders and the Bond Digital Platform

  • to resolve customer-support matters and disputes

  • to maintain necessary business, technical or audit records

  • to comply with a lawful preservation obligation or legal request

The applicable retention period depends on the nature of the information, the purpose for which it is processed and the legal requirements applicable to the relevant jurisdiction.

Where practical, information that is no longer required for the original purpose will be deleted, anonymised or securely isolated.

11. Children Privacy

Bond takes special precaution to protect the privacy of our younger users.  Our services are restricted to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not permit individuals under the age of 18 on our platform. If you suspect that a member is under the age of 18, please use the reporting mechanism available on the service.

Parents are responsible for monitoring their child’s activity online and for alerting us in case they suspect their child to be a member of Bond.

12. Job Candidates, Contractors and Vendor Representatives

We process the personal information of our job candidates, contractors and vendor representatives, as part of our recruitment and talent management operations and our management of the services that contractors and vendors provide to us.

If you are a job candidate, contractor or vendor representative of Bond, certain relevant terms of this Privacy Policy apply to our processing of your personal information, including the sections of this Privacy Policy that discuss the entity that is responsible for the processing of your personal information, transfers of personal information, rights you may have under applicable law, how to contact us and regional specific information.

If you are a job applicant, the personal information we process about you may vary depending on the job you seek, but, typically, includes what you provide to us as part of your job application, as well as professional qualifications, background and reference information that recruiters or other third parties share with us.

We use this information to support the recruitment process, which may lead to an employment contract.

For contractors and vendor representatives, we may process identification information and work-related information, as necessary to manage our relationship with you and your employer, which is necessary for the performance of the services agreement, and to establish, exercise or defend potential legal claims.

We may share personal information with service providers that assist us with recruitment and technical data processing operations. We keep your personal information only as long as is necessary for those purposes.

13. Links to other websites and services

We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites or services linked to or from the Service, nor the information or content contained therein.

Please remember that when you use a link to go from the Service to another website, our Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services.

Your browsing and interaction on any third-party website or service, including those that have a link on our website, are subject to that third party’s own rules and policies.

Please read over those rules and policies before proceeding.

14. Privacy Policy changes

Because we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to help you find great venues, build meaningful connections and strive, we want to make sure explanations about our data practices remain up to date. This policy may therefore change over time.

We will notify you before any material changes take effect, so that you have time to review the changes.

When we change the policy, we will update the ‘last modified’ date at the top of this page.

If there are material changes to this Privacy Policy or in how Bond will use your personal information, we will notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes prior to implementing the change or by directly sending you a notification.

15. How to contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, your personal information or the way the Company processes your personal information, please contact the Company through the Bond Digital Platform or through the privacy contact channel made available on the Bond website, here.

Where applicable law requires the appointment of a regional privacy representative, Data Protection Officer or other privacy contact, the relevant contact information will be made available in the applicable regional privacy notice.

The Company will not unlawfully discriminate against a consumer for exercising applicable privacy rights.

17. Nevada Consumer Privacy Notice
